Halloween nail art

Hello everyone! This month is all about halloween, therefore I decided to make a bat tutorial. I think I'll make another halloween tutorial later on this week. This was the first time I ever made a bat. It is quite tricky, but if you follow these steps carefully it must turn out fine. You do need to take some time for doing this, no rush. I used my practising finger for this tutorial that I got a few days ago. The other products will be listed below. Let's go!

Step 1: Base coat: The very first thing you always need to do when polishing your nails, is a base coat. This will prevent your nails from turning yellow.

Step 2: Main colour: The main colour in this tutorial that I used was a shimmery orange. You can use other colours ofcourse, but I figured that the mix between orange and black just screams halloween.

Step 3.1: The bat design: For the enitre bat design I used a nail art brush. The first step of the design is making a part of the top of the wing. This will be your first navigating point. Take it slow, don't rush this.

Step 3.2: The next step is making the sides of the top of the wing. Make sure that the edges of the sides are facing down. Again take it slow. If you are rushing, chances are likely you will make a mistake.

Step 3.3: Now you want to make the bottom of the wings. The first thing you will do is making dots. These dots will be navigating points. This will let you know when to make curves in the wings.

Step 3.4: Now you have the navigating points, you can start making the curves at the bottom of the wings. Make sure that you can see the curves properly. Otherwise it will be a flat line and it would not look like a wing.

Step 3.5: Fill the rest of the line in. When you are done with doing that, it is time for the head! This is really precise nail art work. You need to make a little top half of a circle in the middle/top of the wings. Than create a line in the middle of the half circle, this will create the eyes. Ofcourse a bat has ears, so make tiny little stripes on top of the half circle. No rush! It is really precise.

Step 3.6: Fill in the body. Again be carefull, you don't want to ruin this almost at the end of the design.

Step 3.7: As you might see, the edges are not quite perfect, therefore I'd took the orange nail polish and made sure that the edges are clean and sharp.

Step 3.8: The last step of the bat design is polishing over the bat with black glitter nail polish. This gives it that final touch.

Step 4: Topcoat: And last bot not least, the topcoat! This will make sure that you can enjoy your nail art design for a long time!
