The standard products you need to have and some tips

Good afternoon everyone! First of all I want to apoligize for the bad lighting in the picture, it just happens that I wanted to make the picture while it was storming outside haha. But let's start with my first blog post!

The thing that I love most about my nail art hobby, is that it isn't that expensive! Sure you need to buy some things once in a while but it is OK! You just need to purchase some standard products and your good to go.

Standard products
These are the products you need to have for polishing your nails in general. Those products are; a base coat, a top coat, nail polish remover, some cotton pads ( not sure if that is the actual word but oh well, let's trust google translater ) and last but not least some q tips. Now let's talk about the nail art products!

Polish
The fun thing about nail art is the fact that you can go all crazy with your nails, so you are going to want some bright colour nail polish. Trust me you are going to use the bright colours and you always want more;)
Another essential in nail art is the glitter nail polish. You can find a lot of different glitter nail polishes ( big glitters/small glitters). But if you want a glitter on top of the print that is on your nail, it is best to find a glitter nail polish with a thin texture.

Tools
If you want to make a gradient/ombre nail to start with, you need to have a spunge. This could be a make up spunge or a cleaning spunge. If you want to get a more elegant effect you should go for the make up spunge, ortherwise the cleaning spunge.
For applying a print on the nail you need to have some nail art brushes and a dotting tool. The nail art brushes will allow you to make small detailed prints on your nails. If those are to expensive for you, you can also use a toothpick. But that is more difficult to use. The dotting tool allows you to make beautiful ( and straight ! ) circles. It is perfect if you want to create a flower print.

3D
A nail with 3D effect is really pretty and gives it an extra WOW factor. There are a lot of different kinds of 3D nail art products. But to start with the whole 3D nail I would recommend you to get 3D glitters. Applying them is very easy. The glue usually comes within the packaging.

So now you know what to get and you can design the most amazing nail art. If you still find it difficult, no worries! You just need to practise. But let me tell you how I nail art. Maybe it will help you;)

My secret
I have this certain rule that I always try to obey while doing nail art, and that is colours, print and glitter. Let me explain the steps;)

1: Apply more then 1 colour for the base (background) of the nail. For example a gradient/ombre nail.
2: Create a print on top of that. That could be an aztec print (big trend at the moment) or flowers, harts, animal prints and way more!
3: GLITTER! You can put glitter on a certain part of the nail art you want to emphasize or all over the nail. If you want to put glitter all over the nail you do need to make sure that the glitter texture isn't thick.

That was it you guys! I hope you enjoyed reading!
